Race Summary

Once again, a rainy week made for some soft and muddy terrain but the weather turned on race day to offer a great day of running. Winds were calm and temperatures were low to allow for potential fast times. The day got underway with the 1 mile kid’s run and was followed by the Lil’ Monsters fun run (the future looks bright for Cedar Rapids cross country).  It was then off to the races for the 5K and 15K participants. Congratulations to everyone who crossed the finish line!

Event Statistics

> Almost 550 runners registered for the events with 440 crossing the finish line

  > 279 5K finishers (including 10 teams)

  > 125 15K finishers

  > 36 1 mile finishers

> 50 Lil’ Monsters participated in the kids activities

> Over 100 volunteers supported the runners
