Race Summary

A rainy week made for some soft, albeit muddy, terrain but the weather turned on race day to offer a great day of running. Winds were calm and temperatures were low to allow for potential fast times.  The day got underway with the Lil’ Monsters running a 1/4 mile fun run which was followed up by the 1 mile kid’s run. It was then off to the races for the 5K and 15K participants. Congratulations to the race winners!

Event Statistics

> 12 states and 90 different cities were represented

> Over 450 runners registered for the events with 415 crossing the finish line

  > 303 5K finishers (including 9 teams)

  > 92 15K finishers

> 50 Lil’ Monsters participated in the kids activities

> 41 runners from the 109th Medical Battalion competed in the Egypt edition of the Muddy Monster - we salute you!

> Over 100 volunteers supported the runners
